Beware! Mental stability is going haywire!

These days, I'm really scared to even glance at the newspapers. That's because, headlines such as "16-year old stabs boy in the eye", "17-year old guns down mate for bullying", "Frustrated Boyfriend shoots girlfriend's kin".....make your mornings absolutely terrible. Everyday, the papers are filled with gory images and news of frustated people killing few innocent ones. Earlier, this fever was only is in the West, but it is now slowly spreading all over the world. The United States tops the list for most number of such killings.

But, the crux of it is, what goes wrong in the mental setup of the individual, what exactly compels him to commit such a gruesome thing? Is it the atmosphere, the workload, or ego? I would certainly blame all the three. As a matter of fact, a bloating ego plays a leading role in driving the individual into commiting a murder. And this so called 'third generation' is full of it. Even in countries, children are becoming more stubborn, leave aside adolescent people, and are bent upon getting things they want. Just recently a 15-year old girl commited suicide just because her father didn't get her favourite outfit. In another case, a girl tried to commit suicide by jumping off her 7 floor building. And they reason? Not less marks, not depression, but the reason is this, her father disallowed from going for the picnic conducted by the school as the tests were nearing.

I wouldn't be surprised if tomorrow, a student guns down his teacher for not favouring him, or a jilted son stabs his father for not giving him his share. Day by day, the tension, competition increases as man 'evolves', as man makes 'progress' and with that, the mind is getting bloated with the hot air waiting for it to explode.

The next question is, how do we stop it? Now this is something which, I suppose YOU should tell me........

Expanding the Gooo of Google .........

It all started with a few computers, a garage and two people, Larry Page and Sergey Brin. Today, it has a market capitalization of over USD 2 billion(correct me). Throughout, Google has been dominating the minds of all those web publishers who hope to make it big on the Internet. This very moment you are reading this article, atleast 20-25 searches are being made! These days, Google has other intentions. Almost suddenly, tons of free softwares and services have popped up, softwares that bear the Google logo. And the most important of all, most have them are out-of-the-box and more user-friendly. Personally, I found these softwares quite tantalizing initially, but then, I figured out that these are meant only for computers with a good configuration. And what's more, it is planning to launch a free mobile Operating system which works in all mobiles!

My favourite amongst all those is SketchUp. Earlier I thought Google Earth was the best. But with SketchUp, you can make real-life 3D images and charts. I'm planning to make the header image with Sketchup. The other favourites include searching US patents, gadgets(I don't know why they are called so), Orkut, Blogger(of course!), and to some extent, Google Trends. One can take a peek into Trends to find out the latest searching trends, favourite searches from all over the world. Some even optimize their web content after knowing the search trends(I don't do it unfortunately). The book search is a good way to find some interesting articles. For others, Blogger and Orkut make it to the top.

Everyday, Google is spreading its wings extensively. But Google needs to have look around. People don't know why they are being banned from Adsense, controversies surface due to lack of security in Orkut, a host of scripts in Gmail slow down your Inbox loading......and the list goes on. There are many technical glitches which Google needs to improve on. That's the gooey stuff from Google. I won't be surprised if Google continue the same trend(to be very frank!). Quantity without quality may prove to be disastrous for a company like Google.

The other day, I read an article in the newspapers about Google entering the energy market. It proposes to enter the solar power industry to feed its huge data centres all over the world. It hopes to save as much power as it can, in a bid to make the world a greener place to live. According to the news report, Google is planning to generate about 1 Gigawatts of power to feed its servers. Now that is something out-of-the-box!!

Many believe Google can surpass Microsoft in the coming years. It has almost entirely dominated the web world with its whacky services and softwares. I personally like Google for its support for pure innovations. I've managed to watch some documentaries based on Google, where I came to know the atmosphere inside Google. In all, Google is a one-of-a-kind company, which I hope, will be the leader in innovations.

Some of the top Bollywood flicks are COPIES !

It seems Bollywood is taking the Chinese route to success. Have a keen look at some Bollywood's recent flicks, and you'll find most of them more or less copies of either foreign or regional films. Let me highlight the top three Bollywood movies that ruled the box office for weeks.....

Dhoom 2
I'm not saying that the whole movie is a spoof. But there were rumours that stunt artists were called in from Hollywood. Have a look at the last part of the film when Abhishek Bachhan and Uday Chopra chase Hrithik Roshan on a bike. If you have seen Mission Impossible 2, you'll know better what's going on. The moves have been literally copied. The only difference is, in this movie, two heroes chase a vilian, while in Mission Impossible 2, only Ethan Hunt(Tom Cruise) was by chased Sean Ambrose(Dougray Scott) and Ethan was the hero. A big blow for Hindi action fans!

I can say this film has reached the pinacle of copying! It's just the hind version of Hitch, the Will Smith starrer. In this movie Salman Khan plays the Love-Guru. This movie is fully the same, only that Govinda plays a much comic role. The rest, including the gimmicks, are the same. It's surprising how a director like David Dhawan can accept such a movie. But the humour is comparatively better(now that is some David Dhawan stuff!).

Zinda
A typical Sanjay Gupta movie, which he claims is in loving memory of one of his favourite South Korean films, Oldeboy, has some scenes exactly same as Oldeboy, especially the blood spilling on the keyboard(sounds pretty violent, doesn't it?). The story, the scenes, the bloodshed, almost the same. Although this movie didn't make it that big, its music was awesome. Overall, this action flick atleast captured some attention.

My Set of Blogging Rules For The People of The Blogosphere

After almost 4 months of blogging and some rigorous blog-surfing, I have managed to compile a set of blogging rules. These rules aren't compulsory, but if you try and stick to them, maybe you can prosper in this ever increasing blogosphere, with as many as 50,000+ blogs published per day(correct me) slug it out to become the best in terms of design, content, and most important of all, visitors. Well, enough of stats, let's get down to business.....

• The most important rule is to create original content. One must refrain from copying content from other sites, who knows, someone may catch you red handed.


• I came across this very recently. Whenever you write words in capital letters for your post titles, it implies that you are shouting that particular word. For instance, the post title below contains the word 'end' in caps, which means that I'm trying to shout or stress upon that particular word.


• When you want to show any expression, you write it, generally, within brackets; like raising hands, or yawning, etc. But in the blogosphere, I found they usually write it within asterisks(*). For instance, I want to say,....(yawning)I'm bored...., I'll have to express it as .....*yawning*I'm bored....., hope you get it.


• Many people blog to earn some extra income. Some of them get so excited by the thought that they jump on the monetizing services within days of publishing their first post. I would say that folks should switch to these services after at least three long months of some good blogging and building some content.


• Don't simply pour you content. Make a post or two per week, so that these posts remain on the main page to get some attention. I came across some blogs that make about 3-4 posts a day! If this is the case, then not all of your posts will get that attention which they deserve. I would recommend about 1-2 posts per week.


• This rule I consider it equally important. Visit other blogs or websites. Don't just be inside your blog world. You need to come out of it and visit blogs that belong to your category. Make a condensed list of blogs you find interesting and keep visiting them, so that YOU are noticed by others. That does not mean spamming. You just need to express seriously. Build up a community, make friends, interact with them. Then slowly, the word spreads and you blog gets the attention it deserves.

Newton's Dark Secret - The World will END by 2060

It seems what Sir Isaac Newton said 300 years ago, may be a reality, after all. According to him, the world would end by the year 2060. He just didn't say it without thinking, but what he said was based on some mathematical calculatoions and the study of all the planets' motion and their gravity. The above document reveals this prediction(The first picture that has appeared in the Posts section). Actually, I discovered this prediction in a documentary, "Newton's Dark Secrets", and later I found this document in dailymail.co.uk . This documentary also reveals that Sir Newton was an alchemist, yes, an alchemist.

Maybe, all that he said was right, not from the scientific point of view, but looking at the present scenario now, I think the world may end even more early. Terrorism, global warming, other natural disasters, you name it. Today, our primary objective should be to reduce our dependencies on machines, remember, machines must be our slaves, we shouldn't be machines'. Secondly, scrap that bloating ego and learn to stay like humans. It wouldn't cost a penny to say sorry to someone. The proverbs aren't just for children. It's time for their wide-scale application. And the third would be hope. Never lose hope and faith in God.

A Funny Proof Which 'Proves' Girls Are EVIL !

This proof is based on certain assumptions and some Mathematics. So let's start...

We know that, girls require money as well as time. So,

Girls = time x money .......(1)

But, these days, time is money. So,

time = money ................(2)

So, Girls = money x money = (money)² ......(3) [From (1) and (2)]

But, as we say, money is the root cause of all evils,

money = √Evil ......(4)

Thus, (3) becomes,

Girls = (√Evil)²

And thus,
